Around 30% of Americans bought travel insurance policies, a definite rise up to 10 percent before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The reasons for them to buy were as follows: peace of mind, security on uncontrolled events or happenings, and concern on losing money while in the trip. In the records, 70 percent of cruisers purchase travel insurance plans.
