With the Internet being as accessible as the nearest fast food restaurant, more and more seasoned travelers are making airline bookings, hotel reservations and even car rentals on the Internet. So why not purchase your travel insurance over the Internet also? That is why more and more insurance providers are equipping themselves with web sites that can cater to this growing consumer buying habit, online transactions.
Because travel insurance most of the time is either neglected or purchased last minute, buying it online gives the consumer a certain degree of flexibility on the type of coverage he wants to purchase including some last minute arrangements if necessary. There are only a few at the moment that allow consumers to fully complete the transaction via Internet, however, as the trend keeps on growing, more and more insurance companies are surely going to join the online band wagon.
